Recruiting: not just jobs and employees
As a young kid I remember first hearing about recruiting. LIke most young people the context in which I heard the word had to do with military recruiters enticing guys and gals over the age of 18 to join the military. I got a job as a newspaper delivery boy. All I thought that my job entailed was delivering newspapers to address on a list I got from my manager and to avoid complaints. Shortly after starting I learned there was a recruiting aspect to my job. Not recruiting others to be paper boys though. My recruiting was of customers to subscribe to the newspaper.
