Advantages of Buying a Fixer Upper House

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Many people purchased homes that need a lot of fixing but there are many advantages of buying a fixer upper house. Some people had their hearts set on finding an older craftsman style home.

They think when you purchase a home that’s already totally finished you don’t have mush room to add your own personal style. When you purchase a home that needs fixing that gives you the opportunity to start from scratch and remodel to your liking.

As an added bonus when your done with your project you get to sit back and look at your work and really appreciate it, especially if your one of the DIY types.

Learn To Type Software For Emman

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

My brother Emman is one whiz kid.  He can do so many things at his very young age that I could only imagine when I was younger.  He knows so many words in the dictionary perhaps as many words as I know.  But he’s just four years old, while I’m 26.  Emman is not exactly my real brother – he’s adopted when he was just a baby.  But we do treat him like really one of us to the extent that we are always proud of his abilities at this stage of his life. I will try to support Emman to whatever extent I can.  I will try to teach him about the applications of computers and the great wonders that can only be found in the Internet world.  First things first, I will introduce Emman to learn to type software so that he will learn how to use the pc as young as possible.  To this end, I will have to ask Mom and Dad about it.

I do not know what kind of cigars to buy my boyfriend.

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

I have been dating this great guy for 8 months, and his birthday as well as the holidays are coming up quickly. He really went above and beyond for my birthday, so I want to return the thought and do something he won’t do for himself. I had to do a little research about cigars, because he loves his cigars. I had to snoop around and find his cigar stash to see what brand he smokes before I made a purchase. While I was snooping, I found a piece of paper next to his laptop with a website scribbled on it. I went to the website and it was a wholesale cigar site. I found Cheap Cigars in his brand. What a stroke of luck.

What is that again?

There are many value add that this coffee machine can bring to the table, but one thing that puzzle me is the really long name that its makers has attached to it. It is known as the stay or go coffee maker, a name which unless you heard about it before, is unlikely to register anything in your brain. Of course, this is one the key products of hamilton beach, a coffee maker in their stable which I think is among the most sellable. The feedback has it that its popularity come from the fact that it is able to brew and store coffee in the thermal coffee mug and allows you to drink from it for up to 4 hours. Which means you would not be without coffee for the entire morning.

Frieplace mantels: A Focal Point Of Many Homes.

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

When I was still working as an outside salesman for a local stone and mill-work company, I had the privilege of getting to know some of the finest craftsmen in the trim carpentry and stone mason business.

One man in particular could create the most beautiful and striking Frieplace mantels I’d ever seen.

They were so elegant in fact, it was hard to believe he typically built them in two days.

Needless to say, when my wife and I wanted to have a similar mantle built in our home, he was the first person we called.

Every time I look at his work I still marvel at the creativity and perfection in it.

Ready-To-Assemble Vanities- Are they really safe for your bathroom?

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

I have renovated enough houses to have used just about every form of vanity and cabinet that is on the market.   Personally, I like the RTA vanities because they are easy to work with, but customers always question whether or not they are strong enough.

Bathroom vanities in general do not need to support a lot of weight (not like kitchen cabinets), so unless they are made of particleboard or fiberboard, the overall weight shouldn’t be an issue.

RTA vanities are going to be just as strong, if not stronger, than most vanities on the market.  Even though they don’t use glue and staples like other forms of cabinets, the cam lock assembly creates a very tight bond.

My door looks bare

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Ever since I was small, I loved the look of the doors around the holidays. Right around Thanksgiving, everyone would put up these fancy wreaths until every door on the block had a beautiful wreath hanging on the door. This year, I need to make sure I get one because I feel like my door looks bare every year. I know I love the wreaths, but I just have not found that perfect one that I know would look great on my house with my colors. I know I am particular, but I want to make sure that the one I find is right.

Classes om swimming pool closing

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

I was on line the other day when I saw a link on my pool suppliers website that would take me to pool school. A section that would help me with tasks such as shocking a pool or the end of year swimming pool closing procedures. It was pages of very detailed instructions written so a small child could understand them. Very easy to follow and it helped me a great deal with as couple of things for the pool that I thought I might have to call someone to come out and do for me. Not having a weekly pool service I do a lot of things myself.

Chance To Have A Chandelier

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Having a chandelier is really my dream. Ever since I was a kid, I really wanted to have a chandelier in the house. I really wanted to imitate the hotel lobbies where I used to drop by waiting for my dad after office. My dad used to work in a hotel. The chandelier would be lined up with other decorations. There will be a grand chandelier which will be the highlight of the area. Now that I’ve grown up and have my own family, I wanted my children to enjoy chandeliers as much as I did by having a chandelier at home. For sure the chandelier will bring back a lot of memories.

Gardens are not just for the house

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

When you think about it gardens are nature’s way of making us take a closer look at the simple things in life. We look at flowers, plants, and various things found in the garden even the most complex of flowers seem to feel simple, organized, and sublime. When I think of those garden rooms and home offices I really get a feeling that there’s something powerful here and yet very natural. When we think about it most of our work tends to pull us away from nature and more into the realm of business and psychology. When you mix one of these garden buildings with that other realm of business it’s almost as if one balances the other, at least that’s how it feels when you sit in this office.

Cheap Candle Warmers Scare Me!

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

Candles have always made me a little nervous, because I am so afraid of a fire. I feel the same way about cheap candle warmers. Unfortunately, many home fires are caused by faulty electric cords. I make sure that I unplug them before I leave home even though I would love to come home to an aroma of cinnamon or vanilla as soon as I open the door. It doesn’t take that long to get the smells going, so I am going to continue my practice of not using them when I am not at home. I would feel so bad if my pets died in a fire.

Lighting Up The Joy Of Christmas.

Friday, November 14th, 2008

As a young child, few holidays rank higher than Christmas.

By far, Christmas is the epitome of childhood wonder and expectation.

Putting together the list, checking and double-checking its accuracy, quietly placing subtle hints for this and that present, and the line could go on.

Yes, Christmas is a great time of year!

At our home, one of the best times is procuring a tree, driving it home, setting it up, and adding the decorations.

The process of carefully hanging the ornaments and stringing the christmas fairy lights upon the freshly-hewn branches is a joy for all of us.

Each year the tree may be different, but the joy is the same.
