Learning About Golf Balls

Friday, June 20th, 2008

There are new golf ball appearing on the market all of the time and this is why it is useful to keep up to date on the news, finding out what is available, what features the new balls have and reading the golf ball review to see how these new balls compare with what is available on the market currently. It is also worth looking at he prices of the balls and how they compare. You can then judge whether you think it is worth buying the balls which have the best reviews, as if they are expensive and you are prone to losing balls quite often, then it may not be worth buying them, however, if you feel they will make a significant difference to your game then they may be well worth buying.

Monday, June 16th, 2008

With the airlines in such turmoil, it’s much tougher these days to bring your golf clubs with you on your next golfing vacation but not to worry. This is one of the many reasons why Myrtle Beach Golf Course’s are so very attractive. You can drive to the course and not have to worry about the planes and airline travel. Grab 3 of your buddies, then jump in the car and before you all know it, you’ll be here on the 1st tee at one of the very many courses.

Collecting Western Saddles

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

My brother-in-law collects some strange things. One area he’s really interested in is antique farm equipment. He knows more about farm equipment than I thought there was to know! When I was visiting a local antique shop I noticed they had several old beautiful western saddles. They were well worn but had obviously been taken well care of. I wasn’t sure if they would fit in with his antique farm collection but I just couldn’t bring myself to leave them there! I ended up buying one and he really loved it. I’m glad I bought it – he says he might start collecting more saddles now!

First Hand Knowledge: Guided Fly Fishing

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Just because you’ve done something a handful of times, doesn’t mean that you’re an expert or even doing it right at all. This applies to many different things but outdoor sports and activities are a perfect example. Seasoned hunters and fishers will attest that they are consistently learning new things and it takes time and knowledgeable companions to get better. Along with this, taking a guided fly fishing trip will more than likely improve your enjoyment but also your skill as it will illustrate the right way to do things. Knowing the right technique, the right bait, and the best places to fish will make a world of difference.

Why Some Golfers Are Better Than Others

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

The reason why some golfers are better than others, isn’t just about mindset or even practise. It is simply a case of trying to improve and get reasonably good at both. Does this make sense? If you concentrate purely on practise, your mindset may begin to wonder. It is important to keep focussed on your goals at all time. If you just think about the mindset and try to analyze everything, your game will start to lack in consistancy and you will begin to drop down in your scoring. So trying to balance both together and combine with improving your biomechanics of golf swing at all times, your game will go to new heights, guaranteed!

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

It is true that I only been to alaska once, but it seems like I have stayed there for ages. This is because, it seems like I know the place better than my neighbourhood. After our fly fishing trip in alaska, I read and learn more about alaska than preparing for the trip.I was intrigued with that place. So, if you asked me the best place to fly fish, I would say ketchikan, not only because it really have more potential for getting you that big one, it is also one of the most scenic place to cast your fly…

Choosing Womens Golf Shoes

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

One of the most important pieces of women’s golf apparel is shoes. A good pair of shoes can range anywhere from $30 to over $150. Of course, it could be mind-boggling to decide which shoe is best for you and your budget. Something to keep in mind is how often you play golf. If you only play every couple of months, then there is no reason for you to pay $150 or more on a pair of shoes. But if you play every weekend or you are a professional (or trying to get into the professional circuit) then a low-end pair of shoes may not hold up to the stress you put them through. For the average woman player, a pair of shoes in the mid-range price is the perfect choice.

Airsoft Guns

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

The game of Airsoft is played within a fixed area. It is accepted that when a player is struck, they must leave the area. Some variations include Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Close Quarters Battle etc. The players decide what game they will play and what the terms will be.The guns used in airsoft are usually replicas of actual firearms and come in all types - rifles, pistols, uzis, automatics, etc.. Airsoft guns are distinguished as spring, electric or gas-powered. The gun is chosen according the performance level (battery life, magazine capacity, range).

Women Should Consider Golf Lessons To Play Better

Monday, February 25th, 2008

If you are a golfer and want to improve your playing skills then there are lots of ways of doing it. The best way is o probably pay for either men’s or women’s golf lessons. These will be able to teach you different skills that you need for playing in a practical environment where you can see demonstrations and talk face to face with a qualified teacher. Although this could be an expensive option it is likely to be more valuable than some of the cheaper alternatives such as books, magazines and websites as you do not get any individual tuition or any chances to actually demonstrate your game and the problems with it to a professional teacher for them to analyze.

Golf Jackets Anyone?

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Golfers picking jackets seem to be as picky as families picking their new homes? A salesman might wonder why that is, it is simply due to the intricacy of the situation. Would anyone want to lose a shot simply because the jacket made them swerve the wrong angle?

How can a salesman handle such pickiness? Well, let’s first deal with the hardest section: womens golf jackets. Women are more concerned with the details than the general view, so a salesman should give them a clear explanation of the material, zipper, and fur (if any). He should be as helpful as possible no matter how picky their questions may seem, especially with the durability questions.

If a salesman follows the advice above, he’ll be able to master the women’s golf jackets section in no time and he’ll be making a promotion by next season.

Golfers: There’s Still Hope

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

When you first start playing golf you may just play for fun or go to keep a friend company. But if you decide to take it up as a sport or hobby and play more often, then it might be wise to get some golf instruction. This will not only improve your playing (and hopefully your score) but it will make sure that your technique is good and does not cause undue strain on your muscles. This type of strain can lead to injuries in your back, wrist, hands or shoulders if you are not careful. You can of course pay for a lesson from a qualified teacher at your club or ask your fellow golfers to give you a hand. There are also books and online resources should you prefer them.

Look For A Bargain For Your Golf Bags

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

If you play golf you will realize how expensive all the equipment can be. You have to buy the right clothes and shoes, clubs and balls. Then you will need a bag to keep everything and these can be very expensive. It is a good idea to see if you can find any discount gold bags available to buy either at your local store or golf equipment supplier or online. This could save you a lot of money and if you go for a good brand or a make that you know are good then you can save money without reducing the quality of the item that you are buying. It is great to look for end of season items or slightly out of date designs as these could be greatly reduced.
