I Have a Lot of Trivia in There

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

I’m always picking up odd bits of information in the strangest places. For example, did you know that old fashioned layaway is coming back? Less people are using credit cards and they need another way to get their holiday gifts. I saw this on the TV while getting my car hire Cork Airport. I seem to be a bizarre well of this sort of trivial knowledge. Believe me, I have dozens more of these little facts. If you get me into a conversation, I’m always pulling something out of my little trivia hat and sharing it with the room. I should probably go on some show. Maybe I’d win.

Off to New Zealand

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

I need a break! I’ve been working my heart out on a high-pressure project for the last eight months and I’m ready for a change. The project was turned in on time, Friday, and my boss was so pleased, he put a nice little bonus in my check and gave me some time off. I already know where I want to go. I’ve contacted Wanaka Holiday Homes and booked a week in New Zealand. Staying in a rental that is actually a family home is really appealing to me. It sounds much nicer than a lonely hotel room, and more comfortable too. New Zealand, here I come.

Should We Rent a Home or Stay at a Hotel?

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

I am trying to figure out the most economical solution for our next trip. I have been looking into vacation rental homes, and I am wondering if we might be able to save some money by renting a home instead of staying at a hotel. We have to buy most of our meals if we stay at a hotel, and we could cook if we had a rental house. I just have to see what the cost difference is. I know that we would definitely like to have the extra space since a hotel room gets a bit cramped with the four of us.

I have no problems getting into the holiday mode

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Our bags were packed, bathing suits, sarongs, slops, sun hat, sunscreen, all this was pure evidence of where we were going, and we were keeping it no secret.  We packed all our gear into our hired vehicle from car rental south africa, popped in our favorite beach boy’s compact disc and set forth on our journey.  Thank goodness for holidays, that’s all I can say, I have no problems whatsoever by getting into the holiday mode, the problem comes in when the holiday is over, but I will worry about that when the time comes.

Finding A Villa To Rent St Remy de Provence For A Big Ticket Birthday Present

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Our daughter has always had an interest in all things french, and as the years went by, her desire to see the country grew.  For her sixteenth birthday, she begged to go to St. Remy de Provence.  She told us that there was a hotel at the foot of the Alpilles drawn by Van Gogh and had been lived in by Daudet.  It is surrounded by umbrella pines, cypresses and olive trees, and has beautiful paths and resting places, just perfect for drawing and photography she told us.  She said that we could find a villa to rent st remy de provence.  We told her that was a big ticket present that would be more appropriate for her eighteenth birthday, and that we all had better start saving

We Are Touring Ireland For The National Steam Rally

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

I love vintage cars and never miss a car show if I am in the area where one is going on.  Sometimes I have even been known to search one out if it looks like it might be interesting enough.  Next month we will be going to Stradbally Ireland to see the National Steam Rally.  We found it on the tourism ireland website and I just could not stay away.  These will be steam powered cars.  Many people do not realize it but at one time steam was one of the contenders for automotive propulsion.  It makes one wonder where we would be today if steam had won out.

Visit Charleston South Carolina

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Rich with history, dense with beauty, and brimming with beach-themed activities, Charleston, South Carolina and its surrounding area is a worthwhile destination for anyone in the mood for a sunny, southern-tinged, and relaxing vacation.

Whether you settle down in the city or on the beach Visit Charleston South Carolina and you’ll be happy to call this blessed bit of land your temporary home. The weather is fine and dandy year-round and there is much to do that will allow you to take advantage of this. Most people do end up coming for the summer, though, when the beach is at its best and it feels most appropriate to let responsibilities fade into the background for a few precious days. Follow the city folk to a place where swimming, shopping, and eating seafood take first priority and forget all about less important things.Read the complete article at

Complaining Legally

Monday, August 24th, 2009

We all like to complain about things that are truly annoying to us. But sometimes, it reaches the point where you know you really need to bring the complaint to a place of higher authority, such as the court. You can first contact a lawyer, who will be able to assist you all throughout. You may be required to write a complaint Affidavit where you list all your complaints and declare that they are all true according to your knowledge. Depending on the severity of the issue, the court will decide on how they or you will deal with your complaint.

A Holiday in Palm Cove is Hard to Beat

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

My husband planned the perfect holiday for our family.  The kids and I loved the time we spent at Palm Cove.  There was so much to do.  We went on a spectacular helicopter tour of the Great Barrier Reef Island.  We landed long enough to enjoy a fabulous picnic lunch and then did some snorkeling.  I really enjoyed the time we spent relaxing on the beach.  Our accommodations were fantastic.  There is nothing I would have changed about this holiday.  I am going to recommend Palm Cove holidays to all my family and friends and will definitely enjoy one again with my family.

RVs or Tents

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

There are many people in the world who will tell you they are campers.  However, this large group seems to be divided vastly down the middle when it comes to describing what type of camper you are.  There are either those who camp in a Recreational Vehicle or those who prefer to rough it a bit more by sleeping in their tents camping gear.  I personally have experienced both versions and can name quite a few benefits and drawbacks to both situations.  I think the ideal situation would be to travel across the country in an RV but with tents stowed away so that you can sleep out some of the time.
