A TV Newsperson is Shocked at the Results of a Drinking Survey

On the nightly news, Ted, the news anchor, asked the viewing audience to participate in a survey.  Here was the question:  “If you knew that the negative effects of drinking alcohol would destroy the lives of your spouse or your children, would you demand that they seek professional treatment.”  When the votes were tallied, Ted was shocked to see that only forty percent of the 2,500 people who took part in the survey answered this question in the affirmative.  Armed with this information, Ted went back to the drawing board and started working on a way to find out why the results of this survey were not more favorable to treatment.
