It’s an American Thing
The term “American“, according to Wikipedia “is a person or attribute of the United States of America.” In layman’s term, it is the resident of the United States of America who was native in the lands and regions of the two (2) continents of the Western Hemisphere.
In addition, the American term is also associated with other things that denote its origin. In the line of entertainment, many of us are accustomed with American Gramaphone, American Music Records, American Record Company, American Record Corporation and American Recording Productions. In terms of autos and transportation, who can forget the American Automobile company and the likes? Whether it is about community, a place or stuff, if it has American on its prefix, it’s definitely an American thing!
