Saving on Moving Costs
Two years ago, when I decided to move, I was determined to avoid paying high Moving Costs. I was moving about 100 miles away, and decided to use a rented trailer to move my belongings. My fiancé and several friends helped, and it was one of the longest, stressful days. It did not help that the truck I was given when I went to the rental agency was a standard shift, and it had been a long time since I had driven a standard shift!When we decided to move again last fall, my husband was adamant that we were not going to use a rental truck again. In fact, he went to a traditional company and hired men with a truck to come and move our things. The cost was $1400 to move about 100 miles again, and he said it was worth every penny - even though it cost almost $1000 more!
