Get the right judge.
The judge hearing your case can be the biggest factor in your divorce. If I were going to go through it again I would develop divorce strategies that would help me find a judge that was sympathetic to my station in life. I am retired military and several times during the divorce proceedings the judge made reference to the income I was being “given” by the government. I was willing for my ex to have her fair share but did not think I needed to be harangued by a judge that had probably burned his draft card when I was serving in Viet Nam
