SUV’s Down Tents Up
Search engine ask.com just announced a very interesting development. They recently announced that search queries related to "cheap tents" have doubled. It seems with the rising costs of gas and other factors people are choosing to go camping or camp closer to home. Reserve America which is a large site for organizing camping reservations reported a 8% increase on advanced camp reservations.
At the same time GM is suffering and has announced that they are putting their Hummer line under strategic review. There has been speculation as to what this means, but suggestions have included ending the brand, spinning off the unit or switching to smaller sized vehicles.
It seems American families are finding alternative ways to fuel their appetite for outdoor adventure.
