The Watchmaker’s Loupe
The watchmaker cannot work without his jeweler’s loupe. The parts with which he works are so tiny that he must have magnification available to him in order to assemble the parts. He knows where all of the hundreds of individual parts fit into the pattern of the completed watch, and he knows the order in which they must be installed. Stock market analysis involves much the same procedure: the analyst must have before him all of the individual technical tools which comprise a good analysis, and he needs to know the proper order in which they should be applied. Each endeavor is a form of art, not science; and each requires excellent training and years of practice in order to approach perfection. In each case, good asnalysis and execution can result in a thing of beauty to behold.
