The Sailors, Anchor Tattoos, and the Early Christian Symbols
There many adaptations of the meanings of some colors, and other ornamental emblems that complement the anchor tattoos, but actually an anchor tattoo is intended to symbolize steadfastness and toughness. It has been a common practice among sailors to get an anchor tattoo after their initial crossing of the Atlantic. The astounding thing is the link of the anchors as a symbol during the early Christian times. The Christians back then were maltreated for their religious practices and beliefs and they often had to gather secretly. As a result, they have made some symbols that would indicate the house where they would meet.
