DSL is a group of technologies that bring high-speed internet access over ordinary telephone lines. When we compare dsl cable broadband we find that cable provides the same service over the cable television lines. In the US cable internet service has proven to be the more popular alternative. This is mainly because more homes are equipped with the wiring for high speed cable internet that are equipped for DSL. Outside the US this is just the opposite. As phone companies ramp up and improve their infrastructure they are becoming more competitive in this market. The combination of DSL Cable users far outnumber the remaining competition for broadband users.
