We put the Grid behind us
One of the reasons we moved to the country was to escape our dependence on the power companies. We put in a well and a septic system so we would not have to rely on public water and sewage services. Our next step was to Live Off the Grid. We put in a solar panel that covered most of our garage roof but got sun for almost the complete time the sun was up. Our biggest challenge was putting in a storage center to store the power we generated from the sun. It took the construction of another small building but we did it.
