What does a Restaurant Inventory System do?

What does a Restaurant Inventory System do? It does alot actually. Some of the more important features is knowing how much of the ingredients purchased are used and how much is wasted. It can order more product when sales of a certain food reach a certain number. For example let’s say a chicken dish uses chicken, flour, specialty mix of herbs and spices, rice, butter, and mashed potatoes. The computer knows how much of each of the ingredients are used in the entire dish and it can deduct that much from the inventory. Everything is carefully proportioned to take advantage of this reordering system!
