Our daughter has always had an interest in all things french, and as the years went by, her desire to see the country grew.  For her sixteenth birthday, she begged to go to St. Remy de Provence.  She told us that there was a hotel at the foot of the Alpilles drawn by Van Gogh and had been lived in by Daudet.  It is surrounded by umbrella pines, cypresses and olive trees, and has beautiful paths and resting places, just perfect for drawing and photography she told us.  She said that we could find a villa to rent st remy de provence.  We told her that was a big ticket present that would be more appropriate for her eighteenth birthday, and that we all had better start saving
