The Children’s Theatre and the Popcorn Hat Players

Pennsylvania is a picturesque state with plenty to offer the visitor. History oozes from just about every nook and cranny of the state, and the city of Harrisburg is no different. However, sometimes children can get a little bored with visiting historical site after historical site. For them, one of the best places they can go is the Gamut Theatre in Harrisburg. The theatre is home to the Popcorn Hat Players, a children’s theatre group that recreates a variety of fairytales and fables for the modern world. Harrisburg Magazine touts them as the best children’s attraction in the whole area. They recreate the stories and tales that everyone knows and loves, such as Sleeping Beauty and Rapuzel. The writers of the shows will often put a fun, modern twist on the stories so that even people who know that tales well will have a great time and be surprised. Those who come to see shows at the museum will be happy to know that it is both affordable and fun. If you are traveling to the Harrisburg area with children (or if you live in the vicinity) you will want to check out the theatre to see what shows are playing.
