Travel insurance - The Airline Industry
Skyrocketing fuel costs and other ecomonic factors have grounded the flights of many different airlines. A number of them have applied for bankrupty, especially the smaller “deal airlines”, as I like to call them, that operate flights for very reasonable prices. Unfortunately for the people who chose not to purchase travel insurance, they are out the cost of their airline tickets and potentially other costs such as accomodations if they cannot find other means to get to their destination! What a shame! This actually happened to one of my friends who was planning to fly out for a job interview, only to learn that her plane would not be taking off. She lost the three hundred dollars that her ticket cost and missed the interview!
